Cloud computing is the transfer of data over the internet instead of your hard drive. This remote storage process is fast and secure and makes sure that your data will always be safe and secure somewhere. This remote procedure has many advantages over local storage such as not having to be physically close to the storage device to access it as well as having a backup in case something goes wrong locally.
Cloud computing is basically virtualized third-party hosting. That is, rather than renting part or all of an actual physical server from a hosting company, you rent a certain amount of server resources. Your server runs inside a virtual container which can be moved from one physical server to another without interruption of service. Such a container is also capable of spanning multiple physical machines, giving it potentially limitless resources.
